Bros & Cons is a free daily logic puzzle. Some characters, the Bros, always tell the truth; the Cons always lie. Read their statements, reason out who is who, and catch the liar. The game is inspired by Raymond Smullyan's classic knights-and-knaves puzzles and is playable in nine languages, right in your browser, with no account needed.
It is quick to learn and genuinely hard to master. A single round can take fifteen seconds or a few thoughtful minutes, and the difficulty climbs as statements start to loop back on themselves and refer to the whole group at once.
The game is inspired by the “knights and knaves” puzzles popularised by the mathematician and logician Raymond Smullyan, whose books, including the classic What Is the Name of This Book?, turned formal logic into playful, story-like riddles. Bros & Cons carries that spirit into a form you can pick up on your phone: the same clean deductive core, dressed up with a cast of suspects and a puzzle a day.
The name is a small joke on the mechanic itself. The people who are for you, the honest ones, are the Bros; the ones working against the truth are the Cons. And as the game likes to remind players, “Bro” is a state of mind, not a gender.
Bros & Cons runs right in your browser, with no account required, and can be installed to your home screen like a native app. It is fully translated into nine languages (English, German, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Japanese, Chinese, Russian, and Turkish), with each version carefully adapted so the logic reads naturally, whatever tongue you think in. More languages are coming.
The game is free. If you enjoy it and want to support its ongoing development, an optional Supporter version removes the automatic ads, unlocks full offline play, and helps keep new puzzles coming. It is entirely optional: the full daily puzzle experience is available to everyone.
Bros & Cons is made by Ideary, a small independent studio based in Zürich, Switzerland. It is a labour of love for logic puzzles, built and maintained by a tiny team.
